First, we will begin our journey in the Bahariya Oasis, located in Egypt's Western Desert, about 370 km southwest of Cairo. Bahariya is known for its natural beauty and archaeological significance. We will visit the Valley of the Golden Mummies, an ancient burial site that once held hundreds of mummies from the Greco-Roman period. The oasis is surrounded by beautiful black hills and lush palm groves, and offers natural hot springs ideal for relaxation.
Second, we head to the Black Desert, located just south of Bahariya. It’s characterized by volcanic hills and black stones scattered across the golden sand, giving it a unique and striking landscape. We’ll enjoy a scenic drive and short hikes to explore the area, and stop at the famous English Mountain, which offers panoramic views over the desert.
First, we will travel to the Farafra Oasis, one of the smallest but most peaceful oases in the Western Desert. Here we’ll explore the White Desert, a surreal natural wonder filled with chalk rock formations that look like giant mushrooms, animals, and sculptures shaped by the wind over centuries. The landscape here feels like being on another planet, and it’s perfect for photography and nature lovers.
Second, we’ll stop at Bir Sitta (Well Number 6), a popular natural hot spring in Farafra. The mineral-rich water is great for soaking and relaxing after our desert adventures. We’ll also visit a local art museum that showcases desert life and Bedouin traditions
First, we make our way to the legendary Siwa Oasis, near the Libyan border. This oasis is known for its unique culture, history, and natural beauty. We’ll visit the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, which Alexander the Great visited in 331 BC. We’ll also explore the Shali Fortress, an ancient mud-brick citadel that once protected the people of Siwa from invaders.
Second, we’ll enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Cleopatra’s Pool, a natural spring where the queen herself is said to have bathed. Later, we’ll take a 4x4 safari through the Great Sand Sea, experiencing the towering dunes and stopping to enjoy the sunset over the desert — a perfect end to our journey through Egypt’s magical oases.

Egyptian Oases
An incredible collection of natural treasures scattered across Egypt’s vast Western Desert, the Egyptian oases are peaceful, green pockets of life surrounded by sweeping golden sands. These oases include Bahariya, Farafra, Dakhla, Kharga, and Siwa, each with its own unique history, landscapes, and charm. While Egypt is often celebrated for its ancient monuments, the oases offer a more tranquil, untouched experience full of nature, culture, and desert adventures.
Bahariya Oasis is famous for the Valley of the Golden Mummies and black volcanic hills, while Farafra is home to the surreal rock formations of the White Desert. Dakhla and Kharga offer a mix of historical temples and lush palm groves, and Siwa Oasis, perhaps the most isolated and culturally rich, is known for the Temple of the Oracle, salt lakes, and its distinctive Amazigh (Berber) heritage.
These oases are not only scenic but also rich in archaeological remains, ancient tombs, Roman forts, and hot springs that have been used for centuries for healing and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy stargazing under clear desert skies, camel trekking, sandboarding, and connecting with local Bedouin traditions.
